About Us


Who We Are

Karen Morgan is a native of Louisville, KY, and has lived in the Memphis/DeSoto County, MS area since 1982. In 1992 Karen entered the field of Addiction Counseling and earned her Tennessee License in 1997. She has worked for various local agencies and formed a private practice partnership with her mentor, Karen Dennis in 2007. Karen has served on a variety of community boards and currently serves on the executive board for the Memphis Area Prevention Coalition and the Memphis Chapter of Employee Assistance Program Association (EAPA). Through instruction and oversight by Bobby Scott, Karen became skilled in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and has presented to many clinical groups on DBT Basics. She completed ARISE Intervention Training with Dr. Judith Landau in the fall of 2016. Karen holds degrees in Marketing and Psychology and is in the process of obtaining her Ph.D. Karen’s primary focus is on educating the public about addiction and other mental health conditions to decrease stigma and ensure treatment accessibility.

Our Mission

Through family coaching and advocacy, Addiction Recovery Support Services will endeavor to ensure family education about addiction and mental health conditions. This will increase access to care for both the identified client as well as the family.

Our Vision

The vision of Addiction Recovery Support Services is to provide the education, coaching, support, and resources in order that all are on the same page to effectively face and recover from the family disease of addiction.
